Thank you to the competing athletes who gave everything in absolutely atrocious conditions at Wakefield. We came a comfortable 4th to some very strong teams.
Final League Results
Once again, even sometimes with fewer athletes than we’d like, Doncaster proved that we can compete with some of the best teams in the north of England. Overall we finished 3rd, just 1 place behind being promoted to the highest league in the YDL.

Some great times from this mid week race, well done all.
Thunder Run (#TR24) – 25 to 26 July 2015
Once again Martin Hookway ran this ultra event as a solo runner and despite injuries in the weeks leading up to the event he made it to the start and he was delighted to equal last years total again this year. That’s 13 laps of the 10k course so 80 miles in 24 hours. His 13th lap was his fastest lap of the race.
“A HUGE thank you to my awesome Wife (Susan) & Daughter (Emmy) for supporting me through quite a few highs and lows this weekend. I am chuffed to bits to equal my distance PB of 80mi but it would not have been possible without the support of them both, a big congrats to Sue for run walking with me for 20mi during the night when I was at my lowest”

About 120 Doncaster AC runners took part in our annual Town Center Road Races this year, this is a record turn out by our club and shows our commitment to runners of all abilities. Lots of PB’s to celebrate and lots of new runners trying out racing for the first time. First DAC runners home in each of the 3 races were George Westerman / Tiegan Paterson, Simon Wright / Janet Kerry and Bertie Houghton / Molly Butterworth.
Special thanks to all the volunteers who gave up the evening (and some of them the day) and supported the race.
