Indoor Training 2016 / 2017

Doncaster Athletic Club caters for Track and Field, Road Running and Cross Country athletes of all levels, we now have over 500 members and we are proud to count hundreds of junior members from across Doncaster and beyond in our membership. Our Club training sessions for competing members only are Mondays (Invitation / Specialist night), Tuesday and Thursdays, all from 6pm, our location and travel advice can be found here.

We are a friendly club and new road runner members should visit our sister website, Doncaster Pacers.  All abilities are welcome from international athletes to 14 minute mile runners.  Call Kev Lincoln, Club Chairman on 07739312835 for more information.  For membership details click here. All new members aged under 11 must attend initial assessment on Saturdays, currently at Hall Cross Lower School Gymnasium, starting 8.45am, until the end of February when the session returns to the track. For further information follow the link to our Academy.

All new members aged 11yrs or over must attend assessment on Wednesday evenings from 6pm, at our Keepmoat site

All potential may attend a maximum of 6 sessions, at a cost of £5 each, before becoming a full member, paying the appropriate fee. Our assessment coaches will recommend new members to attend competing training nights once potential and a commitment to compete is identified. On becoming a member it will be expected that a club vest will be purchased (from our reception), which must be worn in all club competitions.

New Balance English Schools Cross Country

Well done to our athletes for getting selected and competing in the English Schools Cross Country.  Top running by all!

Junior Boys – 345 finished.  In 43rd place was George Rowland with a time of 13:21 and in 251st place was George Moralee with a time of 14:33.

Senior Boys – 324 finished.  In 100th place was George Phillips with a time of 24:18.

Intermediate Girls – 345 finished.  In 286th place was Lisa Fouweather with a time of 15:06.

Senior Girls – 301 finished.  In 97th place was Molly Butterworth with a time of 15:03.

Cross Country Inter County Championships

Congratulations to the following athletes who represented their respective counties in these championships, most of us can only dream of selection the standard is so high.

Molly Butterworth – 144th with a time of 23:26 (282 finished)

Henry Cullen – 161st with a time of 13:23 (304 finished)

George Rowland – 111th with a time of 17:22 (294 finished)
