Doncaster Athletic Club caters for Track and Field, Road Running and Cross Country athletes of all levels, we now have over 500 members and we are proud to count hundreds of junior members from across Doncaster and beyond in our membership. Our Club training sessions for competing members only are Mondays (Invitation / Specialist night), Tuesday and Thursdays, all from 6pm, our location and travel advice can be found here.

2017 / 2018 Indoor Training Details

We are a friendly club and new road runner members should visit our sister website, Doncaster Pacers.  All abilities are welcome from international athletes to 14 minute mile runners.  For further information about Doncaster Athletic Club please ring 07377899083, which will be monitored by our office staff between 5pm and 7.30pm on Club nights Tuesdays and Thursdays at other times please leave a message.  For membership details click here. Junior Saturday Club, children from 5 years to 10 years welcome, Hallcross lower school gym Saturday 28 October. Two sessions, 8.30am to 9.30am and 9.30am to 10.30am.

From Saturday 3rd March 2018, will be held at the Doncaster Athletics Club Track next to the Keepmoat Stadium every Saturday morning from 08.30 and 09.30.  Any queries please contact Pam 07801969895

Parking and Traffic at the Keepmoat

Message sent to all users of the Keepmoat Stadium:-

I would like to take this opportunity to remind all staff and tenants that we have a one way system in operation on the road around the stadium.  This is in place for the safety of all visitors and staff and I have been made aware that a number of people are ignoring the measures currently in place.  Recently, this problem has escalated and I am concerned that this is putting people at risk, particularly in the evening when we have large numbers of children attending the stadium pitches and athletics track.  It is important that drivers acknowledge the risk and adhere to the safety measures in place for the safety of others.

We have extensive parking available at the stadium, yet people are still choosing to leave their vehicles in locations other than the designated parking bays.  This again increases the risk to everyone accessing the stadium as it is often in pedestrian areas or blocking sight lines for people trying to cross the road.  Again, this issue appears to be significant in the evening, with cars parking against the stadium and up against the soccer pitches themselves.

For the safety of all attending the stadium, please ensure you drive and park considerately and observe all safety measures in place.

Results update 12 February 2018 – The Bloodaxe Challenge and Parkruns

The Bloodaxe Challenge – 11 February 2018

Well done to Emma Fernandez for completing 15 – 1km laps, finishing in 137th place.  The total elapsed time was 2:04:16 so an awesome achievement on a cold, windy and wet day.  292 runners took part in this challenge.

2018 – DAC Club Championships

The Club Championship (members only)

The new DAC Club Championship is open to all club members and EVERYONE is encouraged to take part. To be part of the club championship you need to enter (and finish) at least one race from 4 out of the 5 category’s.  If you take place in 5 of the categories then we will take your 4 best scoring categories to work out your score.

The categories are 5k parkrun, 10k road race, half marathon, trail race and other. You can’t just enter any race though. To count towards the club championship it must be one of the races listed below. We will have the following age categories: Senior Female, Senior Male, V40 female, V40 male, V50 female, V50 male and so on up to the eldest entrants.

For each race that you enter you will be given a score based on your overall position in the race. If you come first, you get 100 points. If you finish half way through the field you get 50 points. If you come 45th out of 150 runners you would get 70 points. If you complete more than one race in a single category your highest score will be the one that counts towards the club championship. If you complete a race in every category, your highest 4 categories will be used.

For your scores to be counted in the championship you must be eligible to, and enter the race as a Doncaster AC runner, and you must wear your DAC vest in all the category’s.

Open Meeting and Club Championships 31 March!

Calling all athletes….

Our Open Meeting and Club Championships are on Saturday 31st March at the track.

Come along and see how your winter training has been going. Set a Seasons Best or a New Personal Best.

It is a friendly competition with Electronic Timing and BBQ!!!!!!

Our team Managers will be looking closely at the results as they begin to pick their Teams for the Youth Development Leagues and Northern League Competitions.

It is a great competition for all athletes including all new members who have not competed before.
