Doncaster Athletic Club caters for Track and Field, Road Running and Cross Country athletes of all levels, we now have over 500 members and we are proud to count hundreds of junior members from across Doncaster and beyond in our membership. Our main training evenings are Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm. ¬†Our location and travel advice can be found here.

We currently have a waiting list for junior members. Non-members are welcome to attend our Academy, where our coaches will work with each athlete to find a suitable place in the main club. No need to book, just turn up on the day. Senior members can just call down on a Tuesday or Thursday to have a chat and a run.

Thank you to the competing athletes who gave everything in absolutely atrocious conditions at Wakefield. We came a comfortable 4th to some very strong teams.
Final League Results
Once again, even sometimes with fewer athletes than we’d like, Doncaster proved that we can compete with some of the best teams in the north of England. Overall we finished 3rd, just 1 place behind being promoted to the highest league in the YDL.

Thunder Run (#TR24) – 25 to 26 July 2015
Once again Martin Hookway ran this ultra event as a solo runner and despite injuries in the weeks leading up to the event he made it to the start and he was delighted to equal last years total again this year.¬† That’s 13 laps of the 10k course so 80 miles in 24 hours.¬† His 13th lap was his fastest lap of the race.
“A HUGE thank you to my awesome Wife (Susan) & Daughter (Emmy) for supporting me through quite a few highs and lows this weekend. I am chuffed to bits to equal my distance PB of 80mi but it would not have been possible without the support of them both, a big congrats to Sue for run walking with me for 20mi during the night when I was at my lowest”
Congratulations to so many of our DAC Athletes in their performances at Cudworth in the final Meet of SY track. & Field ! It was fantastic to see this event so strongly represented for Doncaster in all categories – U11,U13,U15,U17 & our brilliant Seniors & Vets – And a big thank you to all those forever taxi drivers and supporters that make all of this achievable !
Lucy Chappell will make her International debut at the Home Countries International match at the EAP International Combined Events at Hexham this weekend, where see had been selected to represent England in the Senior/U23 Woman’s Heptathlon.
She will be joined by Aiden Davies who has also been selected by England Athletics in the Senior men’s Decathlon. Aiden will be up against some of the world’s top Decathletes in a quality field that includes some of Europeans best, in the shape of¬†Adam Halcelet and Marek Lukas from Czech Republic, as well as our own 4th place finisher in the Glasgow commonwealth games, John Lane, who will all be aiming to qualify for the World Championships in Beijing next month.
Accompanying them at Hexham, will be Lucy and Aiden’s coach Bruce Bewley, who has also been selected by England Athletics to be one of the team coaches.
The final¬†fixture will take place¬†this¬†Sunday, 26th July.¬†It is important we put together the strongest team we can, athletes please let me know if you are available, parents please let me know if you can help.
About 120 Doncaster AC runners took part in our annual Town Center Road Races this year, this is a record turn out by our club and shows our commitment to runners of all abilities.¬† Lots of PB’s to celebrate and lots of new runners trying out racing for the first time.¬† First DAC runners home in each of the 3 races were George Westerman / Tiegan Paterson, Simon Wright / Janet Kerry and Bertie Houghton / Molly Butterworth.
