Doncaster AC is pleased to be hosting our usual races again this year, the entries for the Sandall Beat 10k, Town Centre 5k and Cusworth 10k are now open as well as our Spring Open Meeting.

Ferriby 10 – 24 January 2016

The race was held in pleasant mild conditions which is a little unusual for the Ferriby 10.  This race has always been popular with our runners and for the last 6 years, top Doncaster AC endurance runner Carl Ryde has won the race.  A few weeks ago Carl had a health scare and spent some time in hospital, he finished in third place this year.  The race was won by Kris Lecher this year and you can see from the below message Carl posted on facebook, Carl is ready to fightback and sent his congratulations to the winner and everyone else.

“Would just like to say well done Kris Lecher on a brilliant run today. A real champ who sent me probably the kindest message I have ever received today. I really hope he builds on this and has a few storming runs. As for me, my anxieties are finally put to bed, after wrongly diagnosed MI and I can now hammer the hell out of myself in training and confidence in racing 100%. I will be back pretty soon. But well done Kris Lecher. After today, I can really believe the true merits of honour and valour in sport are really alive. Well done all at the race today everyone. I will be back !!!!”
