Doncaster AC hosted the final and Championship event in the 2016 South Yorkshire Cross Country League, thank you to all that helped. Peter McLeod sent the following message ”
Thanks so much for all your efforts today. Please pass on my thanks to all those who 
supported you today too – much appreciated. I thought the course was splendidly marked out and well marshalled. I must get some of those big letters for marking out the map points on the ground. Your reliable lady WAS very reliable and she and her hubby also swept up the hall afterwards. They deserve a medal.”
The junior team finished 3rd place out of 11 teams and in The Senior team finished in 5th place, Division 1. A total of 25 teams took part in the seniors.
Prizes for the XC League to George Phillips (3rd) and Caroline Wheelhouse (1st).
As men’s captain and cross country secretary I am delighted and very proud of all our athletes who competed this year, even if it was just one fixture its important for our club to be well represented which we were!
