Overview:

Psychological preparation for sport is key to success as an athlete at any level. Being mentally prepared is a skill that can make the difference between success and failure. Mental skills training techniques are well established and if developed correctly are powerful tools to gain a sporting edge over our competitors.

Effective mental skills building will allow the athlete to become better at some of the key skills needed for sporting development e.g. confidence, arousal regulation, concentration and motivation. In addition they will facilitate the athlete to better cope with stressful situations, aid the reflective process and help on the path towards mental toughness.
