Humber Bridge Half Marathon – 30 June 2019

Natalie wrote (for the record its a lovely race and she will be back next year) “I do not recommend this race to anyone! 😂 What felt like 90% uphill 😱 red hot & a horrible headwind to boot (& did I mention the hills? 😫) decided to wear shorts – first time on a long run & now have horrible chafing & St Johns aren’t allowed to give you Vaseline 🙄 – saw a lady upset at about Mile 8 – she had lost her dad during the week & had just had to run past the Chapel Of rest where he was 😢 decided to walk & chat with her for ten minutes until she was ready to continue. 
A difficult race but hey, still proud of myself – This 45 year old mum of 4 can!!! (Oh & did I mention the hills? 😂)”

Round Sheffield Run – 30 June 2019

18 members completed this trail race around Sheffield. Glynn said ” Complete RSR. Great run enjoyed as always. Well done to All DAC runners out there today”. Kerry wrote ” Well I’m pleased that one is over with 😂🏃‍♀️
I did enjoy it but those hills and trail running is not for me 😂😂 give me a half marathon any day xx “

Sam wrote ” Pleased with today’s results. I really didnt know what to expect…after stage 2 I was ready to give up but then there was a lovely down hill and all was right with the world again. Those stairs…well what can I say…killer. all in all I enjoyed it and it was definitely an experience. Got a time to beat now for next year lol.”
