2018 – DAC Club Championships

The new DAC Club Championship is open to all club members and EVERYONE is encouraged to take part. To be part of the club championship you need to enter (and finish) at least one race from 4 out of the 5 category’s. If you take place in 5 of the categories then we will take your 4 best scoring categories to work out your score.
The categories are 5k parkrun, 10k road race, half marathon, trail race and other. You can’t just enter any race though. To count towards the club championship it must be one of the races listed below. We will have the following age categories: Senior Female, Senior Male, V40 female, V40 male, V50 female, V50 male and so on up to the eldest entrants.
For each race that you enter you will be given a score based on your overall position in the race. If you come first, you get 100 points. If you finish half way through the field you get 50 points. If you come 45th out of 150 runners you would get 70 points. If you complete more than one race in a single category your highest score will be the one that counts towards the club championship. If you complete a race in every category, your highest 4 categories will be used.
For your scores to be counted in the championship you must be eligible to, and enter the race as a Doncaster AC runner, and you must wear your DAC vest in all the category’s.

Scores will be collated after each race and will be posted in the DAC Facebook groups. We hope to see a large DAC contingent at each of these races. Good luck!!
