I Technology Workshop – 20th January 2014

I Technology workshop

6:00pm—8:00pm 20th Jan 2014, Upper Press

Room, Keepmoat Stadium Doncaster.

Tutor: Jonathan Rees

Are you interested in using technology in your coaching? Would you like to use

technology which allows you to give instant feedback to your athletes instead of

having to go away and download videos and then analyse it at home. Do you want to

have the ability to record athletes and compare them to another athlete within 60

seconds? Do you want 1 central piece of kit which allows you to keep a log of your

athletes improvements? Would you like to use technology which is always

developing? If so, the ‘Using iTechnology in Coaching’ workshop may be for you.

The workshop will look at how modern technology, primarily iPads and iPhones, can

be used to help coaches analyse the performance of a team/individuals in a non

time-consuming manner. During the workshop you will be educated on the different

applications out there. You will look at a whole host of applications which have a

variety of uses from breaking down skills and techniques to aid development, to

collating data within a match/session. You will have the chance to look at

approximately 8-10 different applications/programs. You will then be able to discuss

the various uses for them and have a go at testing each application to analyse

performance of an individual/team.

You will see how easy it is to analyse performance of individuals and teams whether

it be indoors or on a track.

Coaches do not need to have an iPad or iPhone to be able to attend as there will be

some available for use during the event, but those who do own one or both are

encouraged to bring them along. Coaches can also bring along any specific

equipment that they use in their sport that they can use during the workshop.

Delegates will also be given a pack detailing all of the information discussed during the session to take away with them.

A follow up workshop is planned for March 2014 date & venue tbc

Cost to SY Network club coaches £5. (Non network coaches /delegates £10)
