Open Meeting – Thank you
Open Meeting: Many thanks to all our volunteers, Club Directors, Officials for all of your hard work at the Open Meeting. Particular mention to all members of the Winmill Family logging in entries over the last few weeks and preparing race details for the electronic timing, a very tricky business. Also to our set up team who were on site at 7am to prepare the site and still there at 6pm clearing up. We took record sales in the tuck shop and on the burgers and had 400 athletes competing on the day. Also thanks to Sue Forbes for the craft work offering something different for the younger children.
This event takes months of planning, we are always in need of volunteers to help put out equipment and move it around on the day. With a number of other events on the calendar such as YDL, British League ans SYCAA, give us your time if you can, it makes the physical effort for the loyal few much easier with plenty of help.
Finally many of our club members won medals but thanks to all those who took part, representing our club is what we are about, with many positive comments from people outside of the area.
