Results update 22 March 2015 – East Hull 20, Thirsk 10, Lincoln 10k, Stafford Half and masses at parkruns
Get your road league numbers, only £5. Numbers in the cabin, no reason at all why we should not win some prizes this year. You all train very hard, lets get our runners out, run our hearts out and show our friends across South Yorkshire what we can do
East Hull 20 – 22 March 2015
Superb conditions this morning at Hull for this traditional marathon “see where you are” race. Slight head wind for the second half. All 4 of the DAC athletes who took part were new to the distance, none of the ladies had raced over half marathon before.
The race was won in the amazing time of 1:45:13 by Aaron Scott of Notts AC. First lady was Helen Livingstone with a time of 2:12:31.
Special mention to Irene Fazakerley, Irene was one of our beginner runners last year with the Doncaster Pacers. Her brother, Stan Bieris encouraged her to do the beginners course and Stan paced Irene around today. Irene is the London Marathon in a few weeks time.

Thirsk 10 Mile – 22 March 2015
Another set of fantastic results for our Vet runners at the Yorkshire Vets champs, Caroline 1st V55 lady, Kevin 1st V55 Man, Mick Page 1st V60 Man and Philip 4th V65 Man. Phil was in a great deal of pain from 4 miles, well done for finishing and rest up for a while.
1058 runners finished and the race was won by Jonathon Taylor – Morpeth Harriers in 48:45.

Totally blown away by the turnout of 41 Doncaster AC members today! 182 runners from our club have taken part at the Doncaster parkrun now. Conditions were good underfoot, road shoes were fine.
1st to finish was Rhys running a PB. 1st Lady to finish for DAC was Joanne Jennings making her first appearance. Rosemary Armstrong was highest age graded athlete to finish.
