HOKA Highland Fling – 26 April 2014

Ultra Endurance runner Martin Hookway completed the HighlBmLSciIIYAAxD73and Fling 53 mile ultra marathon.  817 people entered the race, not sure of the results yet, possibly 11 hours 52 mins.  Only 2 weeks ago Martin injured his knee so he was forced to rest it for 2 weeks but I don’t think he ever doubted the outcome!  Fantastic running buddy!

Martin tweeted () “the hardest yet most rewarding race I’ve done. Mi 24-27 were risk of DNF but drugs & awesome support got me home” and “I hurt lots. My knee is on bits & my body hates me. The best race ever though. Stunning yet difficult course.”
