Results update 4 June 2018 – Masters 10k, Top of the Wolds 10k and parkruns

We need volunteers for race marshals at the Sandall Beat 10k on Wednesday 13th of June. This is your chance to put something back into your club. If you’re not running, could you please spare a couple of hours to help man the route and help make it another successful event for the club. We will be meeting outside the main building at Castle Park Rugby Club at 6:00 for instructions, your Marshal’s vest and marshaling point. Anyone can help out including all the new Pacers – you don’t have to be a member of the club – just message me if you are free – the more marshals the better as we can then cover and even double up at stations. British Masters 10000m Championships – 4 June 2018

Well done to Kevin Newman who won Gold in the British Masters 10,000m in Oxford today.  He said the temp topped 32° at one stage.  Outstanding running.  Kev finished with a time of 38:50.87.

Top of the Wolds 10k – 4 June 2018

Well done to Paul Bond who finished this hilly trail racein 42nd place with a time of 48:03.

Parkruns 2 June 2018

Caroline Wheelhouse set a new age group record at Scunthorpe parkrun (Caroline also ran the 6th fastest age graded parkrun in the UK), we had a great turnout at our club championship parkrun with Jimmy Osborne finishing 1st DAC member.  More details can be found here, the next parkrun in the championships is Doncaster on 16 June 2018.
