Three Peaks – 26 April 2014
 Barry Gibson completed the Three Peaks 2014 race last Saturday finishing in 5:37:51. Congratulations to Barry on this awesome achievement. Barry was back on the track on Tuesday!A copy of his certificate is attached.Full results here. |
Rossington Gallop – 27 April 2014
Another fun event, good conditions for this cross country type race with some ju
mps and ditches to cross.
Rose was the first V35 lady to finish.

South Yorkshire Road League – Low Bradfield 30 March 2014
Another long drive through the traffic jam that is Sheffield. We all just made it on time 
although we were missing Dean Watson who picked up an injury, wishing Dean a speedy recovery. The course was wet and slippery (for me anyway!) but some fast times were ran.
Bertie ran a new club record for U20 man winning the race with the great time of 26:31. Great to see Andy Siddle working his way up the leader board again! And as always Mick Page is the Vet to lead the rest! 16 DAC athletes competed, great to see so many.
Team results – The Senior Men are in third place about 2 and a half minutes behind Kimberworth and over 15 minutes ahead of 4th place. The Vet Men are in fifth place approx 14 minutes behind 
Penistone and 6 Minutes ahead of Barnsley Harriers.
You can still get a number for the last race which is on 14 May at Barnsley so it will be a lot easier to get to from Doncaster!
Please can all athletes ensure they use the designated toilet facilities as complaints have been made about people in general using the fields and also using local pubs which are not offering their facilities for the race.

Doncaster Parkrun – 3 May 2014
Beautiful conditions at the Doncaster Parkrun this week, blue sky, cool and
not windy, the course was dry and the park is blooming. 23 Doncaster AC athletes ran the course this morning which brings the total to 87 from our club so far.
1st Athlete home this week for Doncaster AC was George Philips who finished 2nd overall, George has run an ineradicable 28 times and his average time is 19:23!. 1st Lady home was Doncaster AC’s Janet Hampson. Janet usually runs with the Doncaster Pacers as part of our commitment to the group but today she had a blast and ran a PB.
The #1 age graded was Doncaster AC’s Rosemary Armstrong who ran a PB!.
Welcome to first timers, Neil Stafford and Diane Polwin. Special mention to Diane who is one of our Doncaster Pacers graduates and Neil Stafford who is the reason that I run for Doncaster AC and its great to see Neil coming 
back.

North Lincolnshire Half Marathon – 4 May 2014
Well done to Ian was first home for DAC. Richard ran a PB by a minute and Jay ran a PB by 6 Seconds.
Philip Bussey won his age group with a fantastic time and he should be ranked 10th in UK for this time! He sets a new Doncaster AC record with that time.
Phil and Jay ran the road league on Wednesday so have a couple of easy days guys.
Good running by Glynn who I think has another half to tackle next week!
