Results Update 8 June 2014 – Hull 10k, Trunce, Castleton Fell Race, and parkruns
The Trunce – 2 June 2014
Malcolm Leggett and Martin James ran the 4th Trunce race of the year, it hammered it down as we were warming up so we were already soaked for the river crossings.
Martin ran a PB on the course of 30:20 and Malcolm enjoyed himself with a time of 39:22. This is a very tough enjoyable race and its just £1.50 to enter – approx 300 ran the race and off road shoes are a must. The next Trunce is on 23 June, the venue is Oxspring.
Castleton Fell Race – 6 June 2014
Rose James ran her first fell race on Friday evening in lovely conditions. This race is approx 10k and it g
oes up from Castleton to the summit of Lose Hill and then along the ridge line to the Summit of Mam Tor, then dropping back down to Castleton. The results are not published yet but Rose ran about 72 minutes.
Scunthorpe parkrun – 7 June 2014
Caroline wheelhouse was first lady to finish with a time of 20:03 and Caroline was highest age graded athlete to finish.
Rotherham parkrun – 7 June 2014
Dean Watson was first to finish with a time of 16:58. This was a new record for the course by 17 seconds!.
Doncaster parkrun – 7 June 2014
Just as the run started heavy rain set in, this did not put off the 91 runners with numbers being up on the previous 2 weeks! 1st to finish was George Philips and 1st lady to finish was Georgina Weston.
Philip Bussey was highest age graded athlete to finish and he continues to improve his times with another PB (7 seconds) on the course.

PB’s also for George Westerman (80 seconds!), Martin Boyd (17 seconds!), Vicky Davies (72 seconds!) and Julie Guest (63 seconds!).
Good teamwork got Vicky a massive PB!

Jane Tomlinson’s Hull 10k – 8 June 2014
Glynn Jones ran his quickest 10k of the year today and he just missed out on his PB by only 10 seconds finishing the race with a chip time of 44:54. Great effort Glynn.
