Michael Bates ran another PB in the 200m and reached Paralympic Standard! Not bad for a 45Yr old . Just wish I had done it 3 weeks agao for GB selection. Been a tough 2 weeks , injury/ niggles.

It was great to see so many runners taking part, particularly from Doncaster in whatever colour vest you wear, but as Captain of Doncaster AC I do love to see our beloved Green White and Blue taking part in events – we all love running and supporting runners. Brilliant running by all but unfortunately, we had 2 athletes who were unable to finish yesterday so massive shout out to Merv Christison and Arwen May and hope you are back to form soon.

2021 Northern League Winners

2021 was another highly successful season for the DAC senior track and field team in the Northern League. First place in the first and last fixtures bookended second place finishes in the 2nd and 3rd matches. This meant we were able to see off a strong challenge from Lincoln AC to take the division title.

No description available.

In the Men’s team Kieran Lambert was untouchable in the sprints. A combination of George Rowland, Henry Cullen, Alex Moseley, Connor Anderson, Joe Warren and George and Eddie Phillips dominated the middle distance events, winning 5 out of the 8 800m races and also 3 times over 1500m.

2021 Sprint & Endurance Evening     Wednesday 22 Septeber 2021

The field team was led by Nathan Langley who claimed wins in pole vault and javelin whilst also proving to be unbeatable in the 110m Hurdles. He was very well supported in the field events by his brother Regan and northern league regulars Darran Askew, Dave Long and Darren Otter. Adam Allam proved his adaptability with strong performances in shot and discuss whilst also playing a key part in both relay teams. Adam Green had a fantastic introduction to the northern league in his first year, registering wins in both the long jump and triple jump.

The season was given a fitting finale with the men’s 4×400 team of Alex Moseley, Adam Allam, George Phillips and Nathan Langley claiming a convincing victory in the last event; winning in the fastest time ever recorded by a Doncaster team on the powerof10 rankings.

The ladies’ team also had fantastic results across both track and field events, with Callie Coates winning the High Jump at all four fixtures, and also showing consistency in the 400m. Also showing diversity across the fixtures was Eleanor Kealey with PBs across multiple events and remaining unbeatable in the 400m hurdles.

Maia Wilkinson performed well in the Triple Jump- jumping a PB to win in Lincoln, before also winning her 400m race. Holly Granger jumped consistently well across all four fixtures in the long jump event- whilst also representing on the track.

The middle distance events featured great representation across the series by Jessica Rowland, Mille Purchase and Lydia Widdicks- making her track debut, whilst Minnie-Jay Dunbar, Lexie Proudley, Trinity Dooley-Williams and Lucy Gutteridge showed great form in the sprints.

Moving back to the field found Alison Howard stepping in to score well across the discus, shot and javelin, whilst Amy-Rose Cotton, Lexie Proudley, Minnie-Jay Dunbar and Eleanor Kealey again performed brilliantly to show their diversity in the throws.

Finally the team came together to perform fantastically across the relays- showing team work and achieving consistently solid results across the league matches.

We thank all the volenteers who make these events happen, from setting up the venues and moving equipment about to the officials and time keepers. Our coaches train our athletes to give their best, we had a great season in 2021.
