British Masters Cross Country Championships and Yorkshire Vets Cross Country Championships 12 March 2022
British Masters Cross Country Championships
Well done to Kevin Newman who had a very worthwhile trip south of London to win his age group at Somerhill Park in Tonbridge, Kent.
Athletics Weekly article here.
Kev Wrote “Good start to the year with a Gold medal in the British Masters cross country championships. The course was held down near London and was very hilly and muddy with several ditches to cross. Even made it into Athletics weekly.”

Yorkshire Vets Cross Country Championships
At Sheffield, Norfolk Park six Doncaster Athletic Club members competed against clubs from across Yorkshire, unfortunatley Andy is missing from the velow photo.
Conditions were good, dry, not too cold, firm underfoot. Great to see and run against friends from other local clubs. If your club does not compete in events like these organised by Yorkshire Vets then ask why?

In the second race (Women 35-44 and Men 50-69), the race winner was Simon Wright, a great result.
