Chester Marathon, Burringham and Cusworth 10k and Park Run
Chester Marathon – 6 October 2013
Massive well done to Dave Sedgwick on completing his first Marathon with a fantastic time of 2:48:07! Dave enters the DAC all time top 10 in 3rd place! Chris Moran also had a brilliant run finishing in 3:09:24! Wishing you both a speedy recovery, also wishing Dave Tune a quick recovery who unfortunately had to withdraw from the race.
Dave posted on facebook “It was a decent run for the first one, tough last 6 mile but I hung on ok. Thanks to everyone who has supported me and trained with me over the last few months ,you know who you are. Special thanks to Owen ,Lyndsey and wazza for on course cheering, Sarah ,Andy ,Jen and my wife Vicky for making the weekend great but most of all to Coach Tune who is awesome and is a massive reason why I run full stop. Onwards and upwards for thr Armthorpe Arrow!!!”

Burringham 10k – 6 October 2013
Caroline Wheelhouse ran her seasons best 10k in 40:50 coming home in 12th place, finishing only 6 seconds behind Gill Hoole V35 of Scunthorpe. Caroline took 38 seconds off her own age DAC group record.
To top off Carolines excellant weekend she wrote on facebook “Yipee – I’m SO pleased – I’ve got my England selection for the International XC in Cardiff!!! I do hope the other DAC runners are coming too”. Well done Caroline.
Doncaster Park Run – 5 October 2013
George Phillips was the only representative from DAC and he stormed home in 19:09 (3rd place) which was 13 seconds quicker than his previous best time. Please visit http://www.parkrun.org.uk/doncaster/ and get signed up, its free and its on every Saturday morning at Sandall Park at 9am.

Cusworth 10k – 6 October 2013
To many great performances to talk about but well done to Dean Watson, first man home for Doncaster with a PB (I could be wrong but I think this was after he raced on Saturday and won a ton of prizes). Mick Page ran his best 10k for a few years, awesome performance. Justin ran another PB. Jayne was first lady to finish! I know our ladies got the team prize. Stuart fan a PB breaking 40 for the first time. Janet and Rose ran PB’s. Lee Watkinson ran his first PB. Dave Evans ran a PB. Sorry, I have not got time to go through everyone but what an amazing turnout – 32 DAC runners must be a record.
