Inter Country XC Champs and Yorkshire Vets XC Champs
Inter Country XC Championships – 7 March 2020
Representing your country is a great achievement and the club is proud of our athletes who had qualified earlier in the year, and who competed in the competition last weekend at Prestwold Hall, Loughborough.
In the U17 men we had George Rowland finishing with a time of 23:39 on the 6km course. We also had Henry Cullen who finished with a time of 25:40
In the U20 men we had Joe Phillips finishing with a time of 37:15 on the 9.1km course.
Yorkshire Vet AA Cross Country – 8 March 2020
One of the benefits of being a member of Doncaster Athletic Club is our affiliation to Yorkshire Veterans Athletic Association (this race was their championship) as well as Northern Athletics, British Triathlon and of course UK Athletics.
Thank you to all who represented, and to Rose for managing the team on the day and sorting the flag and tent. Well done to Simon Wright winning the 2nd race and winning his age group. For me this is the last cross country race of the season, I have competed in 10 🙂
The course was muddy and wet in areas, mainly undulating with one fairly severe climb. great running all 🙂
The race was well organised and it was great to see Chris Lawson with his timing system.
