Medals galore from the county championships
Sophie Mills wins the u17w 200m championship title into a headwind in 26.10s at the Nottinghamshire county championships and was also the runner up in the 100m in 12.61s. New Doncaster AC junior member Morgan Spink also won silver medals and set pbs in the u15 girls 800m(2.25.42) long jump in 4.81m and silver medals high jump and 75m hurdles and recorded a new personal best time in the 200m in 26.84s.
At the Yorkshire Championships saw Nicole Lannie break the club record for u15 girls 75m hurdles with an excellent time of 11.53s and won the gold medal in the final, Kirbi Taylor was the runner up in the 75m hurdles final with a personal best time of 12.16s and the silver medal podium position. Ava Jones was the runner up for the u13s girls 80m in a fantastic time of 10.64s and the silver medal position. Nicole Lannie also won the Shot with a creditable throw of 10.17m. Joe McGrath won gold in the u20 mens 100m in 10.67s, just outside his lifetime best. Rhys Jackson won the silver in the u17m 400m in a personal best time of 53.11s, Genevieve Moore won the Silver medal also in the 400m for u20 women in a personal best time of 63.49s. Mollie Butterworth set a new club record for the u17 womens 800m in 2.19.28 and the bronze medal, Mollie also won silver in the 1500m in 5.04.96. Callum Wilson won bronze for the u20m 1500m. Les Grant won bronze in the men’s 400m hurdles. George Philips won gold in the u20m 2000m steeplechase. Callum Wright won silver in the u20m long jump in 5.81m, Adam Allam won a bronze medal in the u13boys shot, with a throw of 6.08m.
