72 Performances by DAC endurance athletes at the weekend, this will be well over 100 by the time we add the cross country results on. From 5k to 50 miles well done all. Any ommisions or errors let me know and always happy to receive your race reports.
Another awesome weekend of performances (cross country results to follow) and what an awesome support crew we had at every race. No other local club offers training runs as well as us (all with qualified Leaders (LiRF’s) and Coaches (CiRF’s)) – come and try us for free for a few weeks (track fee applies but lots of other runs that don’t use our first class facilities). If you want to run 6 minute miles or 13 minute miles we have training sessions for you.

Manchester Half – 14 October 2018
Well done Gemma Ward who completed this half marathon in 3:10:41. Gemma is currently an expert in low mileage training but is building it up again.
Gruesome Twosome – 13 October 2018
Due to the storm at the weekend this race was reduced from a half marathon to a 10k, Andrea Robinson and Jody Savage finished the off road race in 1:06:24 🙂
Lakes in a day – 14 October 2018
Simons friend, Martin wrote “I’ve been going through my head trying to work out how I can explain to people what it was like completing Lakes In A Day 50. In reality, I can’t. This was the hardest challenge I’ve ever completed. Physically, mentally and emotionally. I’ll be recovering for a while. Saying “thank you” to everyone who has supported me, including my race guide, the invincible Simon Jennings, seems so fruitless to me. Without getting all emotional (we’ll save that for the race report) every single one of you got me to the end. Thank you”
