Results Update 17 April 2016 – Vale of York 10 Mile, Lincoln and Rother Valley 10k and parkruns

On Wednesday 27 April 2016 Doncaster AC hosts a 5 mile road race starting at 7pm. This is around the Brodsworth area and we will be asking for people to volunteer their time to help us marshal the event (South Yorkshire Road League).  Thank you for considering this request, without volunteers we can not put on races.

Lincoln 10k – 17 April 2016

Fantastic running by all in this 10k race.  Big well done to Joanne Goodier who set a new club record finishing first in her age group, Jo is one of about 12 Doncaster AC athletes running the London Marathon in a week.  Caroline Wheelhouse also finished first in her age group.  Lots of our Pacer Group ran as well, great work all.

Vale of York 10 Mile – 17 April 2016

Another great run by Nicola Devine who not only finished 1st lady at Doncaster Parkrun on Saturday, Nicola then went and ran her first 10 mile road race at York finishing in 90th place (3rd senior lady).  Her finishing time was 1:08:04 which means Nicola enters our all time top 10 in 5th place.

Rother Valley 10k – 17 April 2016

Well done to New Member Niall Horstead who finished in 25th place with a time of 40:40.  great running by Partially Sighted runner, Claire Bunting who was guided by Fleur Holland and she finished in 236th place with a time of 1:10:54.

Parkruns 16 April 2016

An incredible 34 Doncaster AC members took part in 9 parkruns across the country.

PB’s for Mark WEBSTER, Lucy HOOKWAY, Sharon WARD, Stuart BEEBY, Laura WATTS, Fiona L MUNRO, Richard MACLEOD, Mark CAWOOD, Jane CHANDLER, Lee MILBURN and Rob PEACH.

First timers at away parkruns were George LAING, Sarah MACHIN, Jessica DALE and Bill TOPPING.

At Doncaster first to finish was Christopher MORAN and first lady to finish was Nicola DEVINE.  Nicola is approaching the 50 milestone as is Susan HOOKWAY and Julie GUEST.
