Results update 26 March 2018 -East Hull / Canal Canter 20 Mile, Gainsborough 10k, Dark Skies Marathon / Half, London Landmarks Half, Parkruns
**Help please** – A date for your diary , 28 March – We are hosting a 5 mile road race near Brodsworth, we need 16 marshals to make this happen. Meet in Garden Centre car park at 6pm, race starts at 6.45pm in old pit entrance access road. Be aware of road closure from Woodlands due to housing construction, this will not effect the race.
Club Championships – The Norton 9 was off due to the snow, this is to be rescheduled. On 30 March 2018 we have the Epworth Easter Egg 10k which is on the club championships, click here to enter.
East Hull 20 – 25 March 2018
Lovely conditions for the 20 mile race at Hull, well done all at one of my favourite races. This race had been reorganised due to the snow and ice of the previous week, so a few of our runners could not make it.

Thanks to Susan Beeby for organising the coach. So many amazing runs I can’t go through them all to see who got PB’s but I know lots of you did, we hope you all enjoyed the day representing Doncaster Athletic Club. Dark Skies Kielder – Evening / Night Marathon Trail – 24 March 2018
Our ladies at the Dark Shies Marathon (and a bit, so making this an Ultra Marathon) all had a great time, unfortunately Rose had to pull out at about 25.5 miles, she has recovered now. Well done all, great team work and friendship. Thanks to Ultra Captain Martin Hookway for supporting the team. Marie was delighted to finish 4th in her age group, a great last long run for London.

Michael Cleasby enjoyed the “half” 14 mile trail race, he said he would recommend it. He finished with a time of 2:41:24.

Grim Up North – Canal Canter 20 Mile Trail Race
Four Doncaster AC runners took part, Janet Hampson, Luke Osbon, Mark Webster and myself. Its a low key event with 6 races going off at the same time (all with different colour numbers), We had no idea who we would be running against. We also had no idea of the course.

The race was out and back and never left the canal paths. The paths were good but around 4 miles were quite muddy. The route was fairly flat but a few short sharp hills existed at lock gates. The canal path is very well used by walkers, runners, cyclists and god walkers so it was a bit busy at times. Drinks stations around every 3 miles. Race winner, Martins race report can be found here. Bring on the spring marathons now, the long runs are done!
