Results update 31 October 2018 – Snowdonia Marathon, Worksop Half, Poppy 10k and parkruns

Snowdonia Marathon – 27 October 2018

Tough challenging race this one, a lot of climbing, freezing cold, windy in the second half and occasional hail storms. Great support from Janet Hampson.

Luke wanted to get a marathon in before he turned 40 and this really was his last chance, job done. Rose wanted to complete a marathon having had a couple of DNF and following advise from DAC Ultra Captain Martin Hookway Rose got her nutrition sorted this time. Martin had a poor run last year and was determined to have a better run this time, and he did finishing 20 minutes faster than last year. Chris had a super run, finishing only 5 minutes off his marathon PB.

Worksop Half Marathon – 28 October 2018

Another set of quality results, a freezing morning with some of our runners hitting PB’s (2nd half Marathon PB for Mark Webster in a week and Roy’s first run in 2 weeks scoring him a PB). Well done to all the Half Marathon first timers.

Brigg 10k Poppy Race – 28 October 2018

Great running by our 10k runners at this race which supports the Royal British Legion. Wishing Shaz a speedy recovery. George was 1st in his age group and Kirsty ran a PB and was 2nd in her age group.
