Doncaster Athletic Club Funding
At Doncaster Athletic Club we are one of the largest volunteer organisations in South Yorkshire. We provide coaching to people from the age of 5 and are proud to count in our membership hundreds of junior members as well as senior members.
We are responsible for funding all maintenance to our excellent facilities where we are based at the Keepmoat Stadium.
In recent years we have funded (all approximate)
£100,000 on repairs to the running track
£24,000 on repairs to the flood lights
£10,000 on a site office
In 2020 we need to purchase a new Hammer Net, this will cost several thousand pounds.
We have ongoing costs for cleaning, rubbish collection, grass cutting, athletics equipment replacement, electric bills and we have to plan ahead for future repairs to the running track. We fund training courses for coaches and volunteers.
Our main funding streams are our membership fees (which we want to keep low as we do not want to lose members to other clubs) and the events we host. All the income we receive goes back into supporting our athletes and facilities. We have to hire venues, pay for traffic management and other costs such as chip timing. We also offer generous prize funds in our races. We keep our entry fees as low as we can.
