3 DAC athletes took part with Georgina getting a PB of 19:56 (43 second PB!), this ranks Georgina 26th in the UK for U20 Lady.

British Masters BMAF Track & Field Championships – 9 August 2014
Well done to Anthony Browne got a silver medal for 100m at the British Masters National Championships.
Aberdeen parkrun – 9 August 2014
Rosemary Armstrong remembered her barcode and ran at Aberdeen. She was ranked second age graded athlete to finish!

Doncaster parkrun – 9 August 2014
Another good turnout of 15 DAC runners at the doncaster parkrun this week, 1st to finish overall was Martin James and Second Lady was Janet Kerry. Conditions were good, the course was dry despite the rain but it was quite windy.
Highest age graded athletes were Janet Hindley – 1st lady (Rotherham), John Helliwell DAC and Martin James DAC.
Welcome to Rebecca Barlow who ran her first parkrun, she was delighted to run almost 2 minutes quicker than the Doncaster 5k only a few weeks ago.
PB’s for John Helliwell (25 seconds!), Andrea Simpkin (5 seconds!) and Claire Whiteley (43 seconds!). It was great to see Andrea back after injury and Paul Brown paced Andrea to help her get a surprise PB.

Askern 10 Mile – 10 August 2014
1st of all we wish a speedy recovery to Bill Topping who had to pull out so as not to pick up a serious injury.
The Askern 10 mile is always a baking hot day… Not today with heavy rain for the duration of the race. Great race with 341 athletes finishing.
Simon Wright ran his first 10 rile race since 2012 and he finished in 4th place overall (1st V50), he was first DAC athlete to finish. Simon also sets a new club record for V50 taking 3:11 off the previous record! This provisionally ranks Simon in 2nd place in the UK!
Dave Sedgwick is marathon training and training partners David Tune and Stephen Mcguire ran together. Richard Chandler ran his quickest 10 Mile of the year going 58 seconds quicker than Ferriby. Phil Bussey ran well and is ranked 20th in the UK V65 man. Martin James used the event as a long run and at the finish line with a total of 24 miles in 3 hours.
