MEDALS FOR LEAHA AND WILLIAM AT TARTAN GAMES
DAC para athletes Leaha Dixon and William Baxter celebrated multiple medals at the Tartan Games in Gateshead International Stadium on 26 August.
In hot and humid conditions T35 sprinter Leaha won gold in 200m in 55.11s, silver in 400m in 1min 57.9 and bronze in 100m in a season’s best time of 23.83s.
F36 thrower William, returning to fitness after sustaining a knee injury bowling in club cricket, won gold in ambulant men’s shot put with 10.02m and gold in men’s discus with his final throw of 35.42m.
