Another great event in our hometown. Lots of great times, lots of first time 5km runners and well done to the Prize Winners.

1st in the Vet Race – Carl Ryde. Simon Wright was 1st M55. Kev Newman was 1st M60. Mick Page was 1st M65. Phill Bussey was 1st M70. Rose James was 2nd F40.

Our Doncaster mens vet team (Carl, Peter and Simon) took the team prize in their race.

Snowdon Trail Marathon – 14 July 2019

Missed out on the Donny 5k this year, so just for fun I thought I’d give The Snowdon Trail Marathon a crack instead. Turns out it’s quite difficult! The first 18 miles wasn’t too clever, but the 4 mile slog/ climb/ crawl to the top of Snowdon was a particular low point. Turning round and running back down – not so good either! Still, it filled a Sunday morning, and afternoon, and early evening. I was out there for a long time!!! Currently hitting the post run beer and crisps. It’s gunna be alright, probably!

Chris finished in 192nd place with a time of 5:49:23.

Grim Up North – 10 July 2019

Jeannette Walters wrote “So tonight I completed the last of 3 of Its Grim Up North Evening Series Trail Races at Barnsley/Sheffield and now have complete set of bling for my efforts. They were not easy! Lovely races though with lots of cake beer and chocolate. What’s not to like!”

Vicky Lindley finished the 5 mile race in 51:28.

Jeannette finished the 5 mile race in 56:22
