Great North Run – 13 September 2015
What a fabulous turnout in the biggest half marathon in the world, with Mo 
Farrah leading the field we had 20 athletes in the field of around 57,000 runners. Some of our runners have only been running for about a year so this was a massive mile stone for them. Wayne Martison stopped for a beer at 9 miles to settle down his sore hip and some of the runners had to wait for 20 minutes to use the toilets after the race started. Well done all.

Hull Marathon – 13 September 2015
For Marie’s 40th birthday we all chipped in to purchase a race entry in to her first Marathon. On the build up to the Marathon Marie
suffered from a few injuries and she took 2 weeks rest before the race.
Martin ran his 4th marathon, setting off too fast as usual. Weather conditions were really good (perhaps getting a little warm but most importantly no wind) and the course was good. 790 runners completed the Marathon.

Doncaster – Conditions were very wet with some wind, 9 of the top 15 to finish were DAC members, 1st to finish was George Phillips and 2nd was Chris Moran (great to see Chris back from injury). 1st lady to finish was Molly Butterworth smashing her PB and setting an age group record, Molly was also highest age graded athlete to finish, 2nd lady to finish was Nicola Devine.
