Doncaster Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships – Marshalls Needed:

We are hosting this event again this year, at the Keepmoat, Wednesday 16th November 2016, first race about 1pm. Schools have been notified by letter but this is to give you early notice.

The cancelled Primary School Cross Country will be re-scheduled after half term

Round Rotherham 50 Miles – 15 October 2016

Congratulation to Martin Hookway and Peter Vickers for completing this ultra race.  This earned them a day off Cross Country (the length some people will go to)

Peter Vickers wrote – Thanks so much to everyone who supported me today for the Round Rotherham, especially Laura Vickers, Martin Hookway, and Martin James. Absolutely crazy day. So punishing. Well done Martin H, can’t believe you only decided to run it yesterday!

Ultra team manager Martin Hookway wrote “Can I just congratulate Peter Vickers on an AMAZING Ultra debut at RRR50 today! DAC’s Ultra Team will certainly be a force to recon with next year. Crackin run Sir” and he wrote “A massive thank you for all of your messages of support. Today had been chalked off as a crazy training run. I wanted under 8hr but at half way I was at 4:04 and made the decision not to race the 2nd half. Instead I took it steady and ran to feel enjoying a more scenic 2nd half lol to come in 9:13 at 50.5mi (yes I got lost twice). I started the race tired and unprepared but never got any more tired, nutrition was spot on, I even ate solid food all there way around. These are all positives.”

Parkruns – 15 October 2016

Penny Lune wrote “Run a pb this morning, definitely getting quicker… Thanks to everyone in the pacers group who have run with me and helped me along the way for the past year!! ❤💜 — feeling proud.”

Claire Macleod wrote “New Doncaster Parkrun PB today. For all you new beginners out there I started in January and did first park run in 35.50 thinking I would never get any faster and today I did 29.18 which is 6 minutes faster all thanks to the amazing support of the pacers”

Sarah Jacques-Radcliffe wrote “My first parkrun today 30 mins and 47 seconds. Loved it! Even when my brother lapped me! My mum who’s 64 and only been running 4 weeks achieved 34 mins as well. Well proud x”
