Amsterdam Marathon – 19 October 2014
Caroline Wheelhouse showed us yet again her brilliant consistent running, she ran the Amsterdam Marathon in 3:13:42. Caroline is ranked #1 V55 lady on Power of 10 for the distance this year.
Caroline said “Everything went well but conditions were really not good – wind got up as race progressed and last 7 or so miles were directly into it! Rained at the same time – but a good race anyway! – Just got my results and I’m first FV55!! DAC on top!“
Scarborough McCain Yorkshire Coast 10k – 12 October 2014
Paul Brown suggested a few months ago that he was combining a coupl
e of nights break at Scarborough with the Scarborough 10k. It was a shame Paul was unable to run due to injury but 8 Doncaster AC athletes took part! with some winning their age groups!

Parkruns – 18 October 2014
Gary long visited Cleethorpes where he finished in 16th place with a time of 21:51. The course was quite muddy so good time Gary.
At Doncaster 1st male to finish was George Phillips followed by Justin Twomey and 1st lady was Georgina Weston and 2nd lady was Jessica Royle.
Highest Age Grade athlete was Rosemary Armstrong with 5 of the first 6 Age Grade athletes from Doncaster AC.
Stuart Bartley kept it nice and steady after his marathon last weekend and it was nice to see the return of Justin Twomey after injury.
We are pleased to welcome 4 new runners to the parkrun, all are currently on 
our beginners running course with the Doncaster Pacers and they took the opportunity to do their weekend run with the parkrun family. Welcome to Vicky Elliot, Susan Forbes, Laura Wright and Sharon Constantine, we hope you enjoyed the run and look forward to seeing you again with the other beginners. Doncaster AC has now had 139 runners take part a total of 854 times covering a total distance of 4270km / 2653 miles.
By the time I publish this Simon Hunter will have also run a marathon so today 
was about ticking over in preparation. Simon ran a marathon last week as well, my kind of guy.
Rose James saved her legs and ran with some of our beginner runners as she is racing on Sunday.
