Results update 2 March
Result from BUCS meeting
Doncaster AC athlete Chloe Bradley has been competing for the Loughborough university team over the winter in BUCS cross counties and recently for the 1500m. Chloe was selected to represent the Loughborough team for the 1500m at the British Universities Colleges Sport championships held last weekend at the EIS. The heats were on Saturday and Chloe ran a good strong race finishing in third place and recorded a new personal best time of 4minutes 50.2 seconds and qualified for the final. Sunday’s final Chloe ran the 1500m final and finished in a creditable 6th place and was rewarded with another personal best time of 4mins 49.28s, recording another Doncaster ac club record for her efforts.
Over the last few months Chloe has been training and competing for the Loughborough team and her training and hard work has improved her best time for the 1500m by over 30 seconds.

Doncaster Parkrun – 1 March 2014
Another great run from George just missing out on his PB and finishing 2nd. George has 
now done the Doncaster Parkrun 20 times! Glynn had a good race with a new PB. Welcome to Gavin Smith who ran the parkrun for the first time. Bill topping also ran a PB, well done Bill!
First to finish was Chris Ward of Wakefield Harriers, Chris is training for the London Marathon and he ran the 5k in 17:25. First lady home was Ruthjanine Wilson of Gainsborough Striders and she finished with a time of 20:33.
Two of our Doncaster Pacers team also ran today, Esther ran the 5k in the fantastic time of 27:57 and 
Gemma who has run the Doncaster Parkrun before ran a PB with a time of 35:45. Keep up the hard work and over the coming weeks more Doncaster Pacers will be taking part.
Thanks also to Simon Hunter who helped set up the course today before he ran.

Golden Fleece Circuit – 1 March 2014

Club athletes completed this tough 15 mile off road circuit run.
Dawn Fletcher said “Lovely run with great company Kevin Brennan David Lawrie, Rose James Was Thompson, Stevie Buck, Alison and Malc Green, will be at least an hour quicker next year”

Congratulations to Mollie Magee-Sharpe, winning the Silver medal at the England Champs on Saturday, an impressive display of shot putting from the Doncaster AC athlete, recording a new personal best throw of 10.34m.

Doncaster Pacers
A quick update for our new running group, the Doncaster Pacers. The group is now 23 strong and next week will be halfway through the course. We are delighted with the progress the group has made and they are amazed that they can now run. One of the members got back to the track after the session tonight and she had a go at shot put!
We are already planning the next course which starts on 20 May with a special discount for entry to the Doncaster 5k for all who sign up, full details below. Please share with anyone who might be interested. All proceeds from this group go straight back into Doncaster AC. 5 Mile Road League 2014
We don’t have our number yet but we know what they will be so we are taking names now! You can purchase them for £5 – That’s £1.25 for each race! The normal cost is £7 but DAC will pay the £2.
