Bath Half – 17 March 2019

Well done Carl Ryde running a new V40 DAC club record, finishing 1st V40 and in 18th place overall with a time of 1:11:18.

“I was dropped to 3rd at 6 miles and 100m down. At 8 miles I’d got into 2nd and then made most of tailwind to get on terms and push on. Caught 2nd last mile and then ran as hard as I could to make sure I’d bagged the V40 running prize. Windy day but will take it today. Off for my gold medal and some Guinness.”

Cyprus Half Marathon – 17 March 2019

Shaz Wood avoided the storm of last weekend and put in another great run in Cyprus, finishing in 183rd place with a time of 1:48:35 (15th F30 lady).

“Well it’s way off my best- but that’s the first time I have donned the Donny vest and raced since injury last year- so have to be fairly satisfied if not happy with my (correction!) 29th female finish (out of 323) which at least puts me in the top ten per cent for a very hot and windy Cyprus Half marathon! Longest run since August so glad I made it round!! Pretty sure I can now have a beer or ten!!”

Inter counties Cross Country – 9 March 2019

Congratulations to our athletes for being selected to represent their counties in this competition – hard work paying off! Anyone missing give me a shout.

U20 Men – Joseph Phillips finished in 164th place with a time of 36:49

U15 Boys – Henry Cullen finished in 143rd place with a time of 14:51

U17 Men – George Rowland finished in 187th place with a time of 21:47

English Schools Cross Country – 16 March 2019

Another great team of athletes who were selected in this English Schools competition. Anyone missing give me a shout.

Junior boys – Eddie Phillips finished in 184th place with a time of 15:22

Intermediate boys – George Rowland finished in 82nd place with a time of 18:26. Joe Warren finished in 249th place with a time of 19:41. Henry Cullen finished in 320th place with a time of 21:13.

Senior boys – Joe Phillips finished in 253rd place with a time of 26:02.

Junior girls – Millie Purchase finished in 331st place with a time of 13:00.
