Berlin Marathon – 28 September 2014
James Smith has been running marathons all over the world for several years, he has wanted to go under 3 hours for as long as I have known him and today he smashed it! He ran Berlin in 2:56:40, this was a PB of 11 minutes and 28 seconds. Well done to James who trained for many months building up to this, I am sure you are already planning your next one. James enters the all time top 10 in 7th place, his 5k splits are below.

Bawtry Forrest Race
Malc Leggett was the sole representative from DAC, he finished in 24th place with a time of 50:52. Well done Malc. The race was won by Richard Spooner of Barnsley Harriers with a time of 40:45.
Isle of Axholme Half Marathon – 28 September 2014

Albert (Melbourne) parkrun – 27 September 2014
Pete Wade remembered his bar code and he was probably the first (since I have been checking anyway) DAC parkrunner to run in Australia!
Pete finished with a time of 21:29 in 37th place.
Pontefract parkrun – 27 September 2014
Luke Milner had his best finishing postilion out of the 13 parkruns he has completed so far, finishing in 7th with a great PB of 29 seconds. His time was 19:08.
Doncaster parkrun – 27 September 2014
Happy first birthday to the Doncaster parkrun! Cake requested and the runners and volunteers filled up 2 large tables with treats!
A number of awards were presented to recognise the first year, Kev Newman won highest age graded athlete, George Phillips won the men’s points league, Sue Greaves won female runner of the year for the support she gives to her husband Ken and Doncaster AC won “Club of The Year”. Thank you to all 131 runners have taken part from our club in the first year and thank you to the volunteers who give up time every Saturday.
1st man to finish was Chris Moran and 1st lady to finish was Georgina Weston.
PB’s for Chris Moran (37 seconds!), Simon Parkin (21 seconds!), Bill Topping (5 seconds!) and Vicky Lindley (1:57!).
