North Lincs Half Marathon – 5 May 2019

Glynn Jones ran his 8th North Lincs Half, thats all of them since it started. A great achievement Glynn.

Kirsty said ” Just want to give a shout out to George Laing! Last Sunday he ran London Marathon and yesterday he decided that he hadn’t done enough running so decided to do North Lincs Half Marathon! Pretty amazing achievement. 🙌 But just want to also take this opportunity to thank him for all the coaching he does for me, wouldn’t be running as I am now if it wasn’t for him. But not only does he helps me, yesterday he coached Rose James Was Thompson round the half and helped her to achieve a massive 4 min Pb- running a 1 hour 41 minute half! Not just a great runner, a great coach too! Appreciate it Dad. “

Natalie said “I only started proper running just over a year ago but I’ve had ‘run a sub 2hr Half Marathon’ on my bucket list for 10 years – Today was able to tick it off ✔️ only possible due to a supportive partner, great running buddies & the fantastic Doncaster Athletic Club behind me “

Dawn wrote “Well were do I start, 2 years ago wanted to start running because in my up and coming midlife crisis, thought it would be a good idea to run a Half Marathon for my 50th Birthday.
Day one: Oh my god!!! run and breath at the same time really is that possible.
2 years later: Have ran so many to count 5k and 10k races, done over 60 park runs and today I have ran my 1st half Marathon in 2hrs 12 minutes 1 second 🏃‍♂️ but the most amazing part of this running Journey is all the friends I have made along the way… so I would like to say the biggest thank you to each and everyone of you👏👏👏💕you have all left me so overwhelmed and speechless xx💖 “

Roche Abbey Trail – Its Grim up North – 5 May 2019

John Sheering completed the trail half marathon, finishing in 18th place with a time of 1:52:38.

Sharon Carson completed the trail half marathon, finishing in 40th place with a time of 2:10:02.

Vicky Lindley completed the trail half marathon, finishing in 60th place with a time of 2:23:37.

Jonathan Frary won the Ultra with a time of 4:11:19.

Allan Carson completed the Ultra in 12th place with a time of 5:18:39

Wishing Jody Breeze a speedy recovery after she took a fall.

Wray and Caton Moor Fell Race – 6 May 2019

Did the Wray + Caton Moor Fell Race today. Only decided to enter about 1 hour before the start so didn’t have much gear. My 1st fell race and certainly wont be my last. This fat lad from Donny isn’t designed to run up fells but i really enjoyed it. Trial shoes and sweets are a defo for next time. Cheeky climbs and some tricky downhill sections added to the fun. Great Bank holiday fun at the village scarecrow Fair as well. All for the sum of £5. Fantastic value.
