Results update 8 February 2015 – No Walk in the Park 5k, Harewood House Half, Mini Fell Marathon, Schools Cross Country and parkrun
South Yorkshire Road League – the numbers have not arrived yet but the directors have agreed to give a £2 discount to Doncaster AC runners, so if you do all 4 you will pay only £1.25 per race!
Road Sheffield Run, something a little bit different. The race comprises 11 timed stages making up 20km with 4.5km jogging between stages. You can enter as a solo runner or as a pair. 3 pairs make up a team (so 6 runners). We currently have 5 pairs entered so please come and join us, it is a lovely route which is mainly off road. We plan to eat together at the end.

Donny A.C rule the vets with first v55,v60 and v65 in the “no walk in the park” at Chesterfield! Full results here. Next race March the 7th, think I might have a go.

Humberside / Yorkshire Schools Cross Country
I don’t know if any results (I don’t know who else ran) are out but I know that Ellie watts won her age group
at Humberside. Jess Royle also ran at Humberside finishing 5th in Senior girls race and has qualified for English Schools in March. Callum Wilson finished 4th at South Yorkshire so they are going on to the English Schools. George Westerman was disappointed to finish 9th at SY but his coach Barry said “You ran fantastically well George and I am well proud of ypur efforts. Put the down to experience and move on.“
RAB Mini Mountain Marathon – Across moorlands in deep snow
Well done to Dean Watson who completed this run in 4:01:01 finishing in 64th place. Over 3000 feet of climb, Dean is becoming quite a fell runner! He said “So much pain!! Haha I weren’t in shorts luckily because the snow was 3ft deep. I was 26th individual because people were in teams/pairs. I got massively lost didn’t do particularly well but hard training miles none the less!”

At Scunthorpe 272 runners took part, Georgina was the first lady to finish! Susan ran a great PB of 2 minutes and 19 seconds! Simon and Peter both visited the course for the first time, Simon ran a parkrun PB of 1:09. Peter was just 3 second off his all time parkrun PB.

At Doncaster 101 runners took part in better conditions than the last few weeks, Jo Goodier was first lady to finish (after running a 5 miles before the start). Jo ran a PB of 4 seconds.
