Results from Birmingham open
The final Midland Counties indoor open meeting held at the Birmingham HIPAC saw a number of Doncaster athletes of all ages travel the distance to compete in the Sprints and Hurdles events.
Junior athlete Nicole Lannie was showing her class again over the hurdles, she had a convincing win in the u13girls 70m hurdles and tops the UK rankings with a time of 11.55s and in the 60m hurdles produced a lifetime best to move to number 2 in the UK ranking with a new pb and club record of 9.81s. Nicole also ran a pb in the 100m with a time of 13.96s. Emily Riley also ran a lifetime best in the u15girls 100m, winning her heat in a creditable time of 13.27s moving her to number 8th in the UK rankings. Ever improving Kieran Lewis had a great winning run in his heat of 60m for a pb time of 7.49s and also ran his first ever 100m for the club in a creditable time of 11.86s. Steven Lambourne runs a season best time for both the 60m and 100m with respective times of 7.32s and 11.57s and a 15th UK ranking for 100m.
Veteran athlete Anthony Browne also ran a pb in the 60m with a time of 7.49s and a 10th in the UK ranking and won his 100m in 11.79s and tops the UK ranking for v35.
