Trunce – 14 September 2015
Rose James completed the final trunce ravce of the year finishing the final race in 40:02. Fancy dress was optional and Rose would not miss the opportunity to dress up, photo attached. Rose finished the season with 63 points and this placed her as 11th female out of 167. Overall 107th out of 1049 athletes!

High Peak 40 Mile
Inspirational Ultra Runner Martin Hookway had his first DNF but remained positive and will comeback stronger as always! He got 15.3 miles into the race.
“Having to pull out of a race is not easy but I know I made the right decision. X
Sadly due to mix of errors this race stays as my bogey race, my Delorian. Lack of sleep, sleeping in, no breakfast, forgot to pack gels and electrolyte tablets, could not eat food by mile 8, body cramps all led up to my first DNF due to low salt levels in my body casing cramps, confusion and hands like the Michelin Man… Oh running is soooo glam 😂. Gutted not to finish the full 40 miles but to be honest I did enjoy supporting friends along the route once my body went into recovery.”

Doncaster parkrun broke its attendance record by 102 runners! 271 runners took part, no doubt encouraged by the cakes on offer to help celebrate the second birthday of the Doncaster parkrun. 44 Doncaster AC runners took part and we all had a great time, the conditions were really good. Many thanks to the organizers.
First Doncaster AC athlete to finish was George Phillips and First lady to finish was Molly Butterworth.
