Owston Ferry 10k – 15 June 2014

Carl Ryde won the race in style running his seasons best 10k.  Justin Twomey ran a PB as did Craig Fletcher.  Dave Birkett ran a seasons best.  Well done to U17 lady Jessica Royle on her first 10k outing of 2014.

5 parkruns – 21 June 2014

DAC had athletes competing at 5 different parkruns this weekend!:

At Pontefract Luke Milner finished in 28th place with a time of 20:35.  This was a great PB for Luke by just under 30 seconds.

At Scunthorpe Harry Watts finished in 162nd place with a time of 28:40.  Well done Harry.

At Rother Valley George Westerman finished in 11th place with a time of 20:21.  Great running George.

At Cleethorpes Eddie and Dawn Fletcher ran.  I think this was Eddies first park run and he finished in 5th place with a time of 19:22.  Dawn finished in 50th place (12th lady) with a time of 27:27.  Well done guy’s.

At Doncaster DAC had 20 runners take part

We have now had 98 runners from our club take part at the Doncaster parkrun (this includes a couple that have not set up their club as Doncaster AC so officially it is 96).  Please can you set your club to Doncaster AC as it makes things easier. 🙂

New PB’s for Joseph Phillips (36 seconds), Philip Bussey (12 seconds), Glynn Jones (22 seconds), Marie-Louise Taylor (20 seconds), Tracey Christison (21 seconds), Gemma Louise Tyler (24 seconds) and Becci Senior (5 minutes!!!).

Welcome to first timers Robert Sidebottom, Claire Whiteley, Suzanne Glossop, Sarah Green and Kelley Stockhill.  Most of these and Becci are currently going through our beginners running course, the Doncaster Pacers and this was a big step up for them.  We will encourage others from the new running group to come to the parkrun in the next few weeks.
