Middlesbrough Tees Pride 10k – 31 August 2014

Well done to Simon Wright who ran a seasons best finishing in 14th place with a time of 34:22. The race was won by Ethiopian runner Wondiye Fikre Indelbu in 31:00.

Sunderland parkrun – 30 August 2014

Well done to George and Joseph visiting Sunderland for the first time. George finished 3rd overall and Joseph 16th.

Doncaster parkrun – 30 August 2014

Dean Watson made a welcome return finishing 1st overall and just missing out on the course record by 4 seconds. Rose was 3rd lady overall and 1st for DAC, she was chasing her PB but could not quite make it today.

PB’s for Christopher Moran (6 seconds!), Dawn Fletcher (49 seconds!), Andrea Simpkin (15 seconds!), Vicky Royle (26 seconds!), Lindsey Swain (39 seconds!) and Rose Fells (48 seconds!).

1st overall age graded athlete was Phil Bussey, 3rd was Jay Buxton and 4th was Dean Watson.

Welcome to first timer Chris Pye! 125 Doncaster AC athletes have now run 693 times between them covering 2153 miles in the last 49 weeks!

Spotlight on Vicky Royle – Vicky has run the Doncaster parkrun 9 times and she has run a PB every time, this includes today where she ran a 26 second PB finishing in 27:46. 10 months ago she ran her 1st one in 35:09. That is amazing work, well done Vicky. Vicky joined the Doncaster Pacers in March 2014 and the group does longer runs on Tuesdays and Interval / Hill training on Thursdays. Going forward, Vicky along with several other members are going to become run leaders to help look after our road runners and beginners with the Doncaster Pacers.
