Sidcup 10 mile – 8 March 2015

Phil said “Golden oldies ,Doncaster AC won gold in the British Masters Athletic Federation 10 Mile Championship . Well done, Simon, Kev, Mick and yours truly. 55,59,63 and 69 minutes ,we also picked up the team prize!

Retford Half Marathon – 8 March 2015

Great to see Dave Sedgwick running again after a long break.

Pig PB for Chris Pye who said “Retford 1/2 marathon done,thanks to David Tune Stephen Mcguire David Sedgwick for pacing me round,took 18 mins off my previous PB with a time of 1:23:42,26th out of 627 runners,well pleased”

Liz Jackson said “Retford Half Marathon. Found it really hard work today and was amazed that i managed to just scrape under 1.50!! 1:49:25 chip time. Not my best but not my worst either”

Grindleford Gallop – 7 March 2015

Russell Walker had a great run at the Gridleford Gallop, he tweeted “22miles,3000foot of ascent 3:37. A new PB by 33 mins” 385 athletes finished and the winning time was 2:24:56.

Ian Roberts Fell Race – 8 March 2015

Rain, hills, tough terrain and views. What a fantastic race, great value only £5 to enter (masses of free sandwiches, cakes and drinks at the finish). 6.5 miles running around the beautiful wilderness.

Our previous record for the most athletes taking part on a Saturday has been 25. An ineradicable 31 DAC runners took part at 3 different parkruns. 14 of the parkrunenrs at Doncaster were first timers from our new beginners course. League tables updated please check as they are complicated to maintain!

Scunthorpe – Vicky Davies ran the course for the first time and she ran her fastest parkrun for 6 months.

At Doncaster Chris Moran was first to finish and Rose was second lady to finish. Rosemarie Armstrong was highest age graded athlete to finish. We have now had 169 runners from DAC complete the Doncaster parkrun.
