British & Irish International Masters Cross Country
Three Doncaster AC Athletes have been selected to run at Wollaton Park, Simon Wright is in the M50 team, Kevin Newman is reserve for the M55 team and Jayne Baldwin is reserve for the W45 team. We wish you all the very best on the 22 November! Full team list here. Doncaster AC continues to be well represented at this international competition.
Round Rotherham -18 October
Barry Gibson completed this untra run finishing in 105th place with a time of 11:36:44. 228 athletes ran the course this year, the course follows 50 miles of footpaths including 800m of climb. Barry is recovering well and will be back racing soon.
Scunthorpe Cross Country – 9 November
No results yet but we know that Caroline Wheelhouse and George Westerman both took

George finished 2nd U15 boy.
Caroline said “ok – even at the age of 56 you’re (no, I’m) still capable of making ‘schoolboy’ errors! Second vet at Scunthorpe XC after being pipped at the post because I wasn’t sure where the finish line was…..only myself to blame but it was a good hard training run and I love XC! Must pay more attention!”.
The next South Yorkshire League cross country is on Sunday 16 November at Campsall Country Park. Numbers available from the cabin for £5
Hell Up North – 1 November 2014
One of our Leaders in Running Fitness went with a group of friends to this off road “adventure”. Andrea Robinson was 188th lady to finish out of 554 ladies, she did this in 3:31:50. Well done Andrea and its all good!
Parkruns 8 November 2014
Well done to Adam Simms who ran at Scunthorpe finishing with a time of 25:36 in 105th position.
At Doncaster, Simon Wright made his debut at the parkrun. Simon finished in 1st place, 8 of the first 10 to finish were from DAC. Simon also set a new record for M50.
The 1st 3 ladies to finish were from DAC – Emily Barker, Georgina Weston and Jessica Royle.
Great PB’s for some of Barry Barnes athletes, Rhys GIBSON (53 seconds), Michael BARFIELD (1:52), Emily BARKER (25 seconds).
