Scunthorpe Open

Doncaster Athletes were in record breaking winning form for the first track open meeting of the year at Scunthorpe last weekend.

Steven Lambourne smashed the u20men 80m Doncaster AC club record with a new personal best time of 9.4s and also won the 150m.  Emily Riley also breaks the u15girls 80m record and won her race convincingly with a new personal best time of 10.9s and also won the 150m in a new personal best time of 21.4s.  Ava Jones had a personal best winning jump of 4.05m and maintains her position at the top of the u11girls UK rankings, Ava also won both the 80m and 150m races. Steven Bellemy won the u20men 300m with a new personal best time of 37.5. Adam Simms wins the u13 boys shot with a throw of 7.08m. Tom Kirk wins the senior men’s shot with a throw of 13.56m.

There were a number of runners up, Ricky Housley in the Shot, Mollie Magee-Sharpe in the u17 women Javelin and Shot, Sophie Mills in the u17women 300m, Adam Simms in the long jump. There were also a number of personal best performances from Genevieve Moore, Isobel Holborn, Niamh Latibeaudiere, Charlotte Mills, Harry McCrae and Pete Simpson.
