Please read the important notes below regarding the Yorkshire Cross Country Championship and the Yorkshire Track and Field Championships. I know not everything applies to everybody but please read to the bottom and please circulate it.
YORKSHIRE CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS 2014 at Lightwater Valley, Ripon, North Yorkshire
Find attached a copy of the prospectus for the Yorkshire Cross Country Championships. Please pay particular attention to the U20 age group as this is very different to most other domestic cross country competitions, I’ve clarified the U20 age group on this version so please circulate this. The amended form attached has my new telephone number on it, this is 01226 722442 if you have any queries please don’t hesitate to call, but please dial carefully and don’t call after 9:30pm.

CLOSING DATE FRIDAY 6th DECEMBER.
I’m afraid I can accept NO late entries. I have many very tight deadlines to meet because printers and suppliers will be closing before Christmas and won’t be opening again until after the Yorkshire Cross Country Championships.
I’m really sorry but I can’t answer individual queries regarding whether an entry has been received or not, I will be publishing a full entry list as soon as I can after the closing date. Any genuine problems can be sorted at that stage.
Team managers; if you would find it easier I can supply you with an EXCEL version of the form so that you can type straight in to it. Please contact me if this would be of use to you. I will still need you to print off a paper version of the completed spread sheet, so that you can enclose it will full payment before the competition, it is only at that stage that an entry is complete and your team will be able to run.
We still need course marshals and if anyone is available to help Gordon Agar set the course up before then that would be a huge help too please. I have received a couple of names of people who can be part of our team on the day, it’s a really great event and we have a huge team of fantastic volunteers already down to work as qualified officials, but we need more course marshals. It is just one day, we provide food and drinks, soup etc for all volunteers. I can put you in touch with Gordon if you can help in any way. Because the site is closed for the winter and the course is secure within the Ultimate Roller Coaster we set up for this course before the day, so it’s not a crack of dawn start, Lightwater Valley assist, with the help of Golf Buggies for the laying out of the course.
